Valletta moves on after 2-1 defeat of Tre Fiori in Chapions League

William Barbosa scored in the 88th minute to put the finishing touches on Valletta's first round triumph over Tre Fiori. Valletta defeated Tre Fiori 2-1 in the second leg to go along with the 3-0 victory in the first leg. Valletta advances to the second round where the will play FK EKranas of Lithuania.
Altin Lisi scored in the 21st minute on a penalty shot to give Tre Fiori a shot but in the 56th minute Matteo Vendemini was given his second yellow and Ian Zammit scored on the penalty shot to even the game but Tre Fiori would play a man down the rest of the match. Barbosa scored in the 88th minute to end any doubt who would advance.
Tre Fiori could only muster 2 goal attempts for both matches while Valletta had 24.
The second round of the 2011/2012 Champions League will begin on July 12.
