Conference National breakdown

November 8th 2010 15:08

Being new to World Football has opened my eyes to a lots of leagues i never heard of. Over the past year and half as my interest in the game i call soccer has blossomed due to my oldest son playing the sport i have come to greatly appreciate the game. Thru my research it seems that England has the best system going with a small team having the chance to make it all the way up to the Premier League. There are numerous levels in the English Football system but i want to just focus on the top 5.

The Football Conference is the fifth level in the English Football system. The Conference league is also know as the Blue Square Bet Premier. The 24 teams that make up the league will battle it out for the two promotion spots to League Two the fourth level of the English Football System.

The Bottom Four teams will be regulated to either Conference North or South. There is a chance a team can win the league and not be promoted if the don't meet certain finical requirements or stadium requirements. I do not know that much about these rules.

Everyteam has played atleast 17 matches and as of today Crawley Town is the league leader with 36 pts. Teams two thru five would play in a playoff for the last spot to be promoted. AFC Wimbledon(35pts), Luton Town(33pts), Rushden& Diamonds(30pts) and Fleetwood Town(30pts) would get those spots in the playoffs. Newport County has 30 pts also but loses out with goal differental.

Table for Conference National:

1. Crawley Town 36
