Breaking down the opening Weekend in French Ligue 1

The 2011/2012 French Ligue 1 kicked off over the weekend with a shocker in Paris. Paris Saint-Germain spent lots of money in offseason but lost at home on opening day 0-1 to Lorient. Their are three new members to the Ligue 1 this year. AC Ajaccio and Dijon FCO both lost at home while Evian Thonon Gaillard managed to get a point on the road against Brest.

With their big win Stade Rennes leads the table with three points and a plus four goal differental while Lyon, Montpellier and Toulouse hve a plus two differental.
