Breaking Down English League One first Matchday

English League One got its season kicked off on Saturday with a slate of full action. Their are four newcomers to League one this year. Three of those teams earned draws in their first match. Bury, Stevenage and Wycombe Wanderers all earned those draws. Chesterfield the other new club lost 1-0 on the road.
Ian Henderson of Colchester United and Dale Stephens of Charlton Athletic both scored twice in their clubs first match of the season. Stephen Quinn of Sheffield United recorded two assists for his club.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Rochdale
Stevenage 0-0 Exeter City
Tranmere Rovers 1-0 Chesterfield
Walsall 1-0 Leyton Orient
Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Scunthorpe United
With their big wins Charlton Athletic and Notts County lead the table with three points and a plus three goal differental. Four teams are next in line with a plus two differental.
