Blackpool lacking defense to stay in Premier League
November 16th 2010 11:48
Blackpool has given up 26 goals in 13 matches so far and u do not need to be a math genius to know that is two goals a match. This mark is easily the highest in the Premier League and has Blackpool in a downward spiral heading for regulation.
Blackpool does have two shutouts earlier in the season against Wigan and Newcastle but not until last week's 0-0 draw with West Ham have the seen a zero on the board. So actually the have given up 26 goals in 10 matches.
With the transfer window Blackpool needs to be very aggressive and spend whatever money the have to ensure the stay in the Premier League another year. Success in your first year in the Premier League for a small club like Blackpool is not easy but just stay in the league and after a few years success will come in small amounts.
With Matches at home against Wolverhampton and on the road against Bolton to finish November. Blackpool needs at least 3 points out of those matches. The are only two points out of regulation zone.
More consistent play by Adam, Harewood and Varney will help Blackpool in the future but going out and getting so defense help needs to be the key.
