A Working Saturday

December 5th 2010 02:52
Being stuck at work this weekend left me without a chance to watch any of the days matches.

With Blackpool and Manchester United's game postponed due to weather/field issues it made me fell a little better.

Keeping track of the scores on my phone helped the pain also.

I checked my phone around halftime and was not all surprised by the first half scores. Chelsea held a 1-0 lead on Bolton. Blackburn was 2 up on Wolverhampton at 2-0 after one. Tottenham held a 1-0 lead on Birmingham. Arsenal and Fulham were tied 1-1 while Wigan and Stoke City were knotted at 2-2.

Goal scorers in the first half were Samir Nasir, Diomansy Kamara, Sebastien Bassong, David Dunn, Brett Emerton, Didier Drogba on a penalty kick, Carlos Tevez, Robert Huth, Matthew Etherington, Tom Cleverly and a own goal by Danny Collins.

So i am walking around my job before the second half began and was wondering is Chelsea will top the table again, Is Tevez having a great year for City or what.

After seeing the final scores from the matches i was surprised to see only four goals scored in the second half but man three of them were big ones.

Arsenal's Samir Nasri scored his second goal of the game to lift the Gunners to the top of the table.Craig Gardner's goal gave Birmingham a surprising 1-1 draw with Tottenham.Ryan Nelson scored to extend Blackburn's lead on the Wolves. Jermaine Beckford had the biggest giving Everton a 1-1 draw with slumping Chelsea.

Manchester City won while Wigan and Stoke City tied.

Man Chelsea is struggling for a team with that much talent.

15 goals scored on Saturday in six matches.

What is the biggest Surprise of the Day?

Chelsea 1-1 Everton

Birmingham 1-1 Tottenham

Arsenal's Samir Nasri's two goals

Manchester City 1-0 Bolton

Well have to work again tomorrow another fun filled day of phone soccer.

The biggest surprise was the Tottenham draw. Chelsea are a struggling team. I am so happy the Gunners are in first! Whoot! Fulham is a dangerous team to overlook, especially in rivalry matches against London teams like Arsenal and Chelsea. I am glad that Nasri helped us pull out.

two players shone yesterday. Nasri, and Baines at Everton. But Samir Nasri looks a different player this season, so much quality to his play!
